Do these QR codes expire?
Static codes never expire. Dynamic codes are paid once, with no subscription to lapse.
Is the generator really free?
Yes, with no sign-up, no watermark and no scan limit. You pay only for dynamic codes.
What is the difference between a static and a dynamic QR code?
A static code holds the content itself and can never change. A dynamic code holds a short link. You can change where it goes and see how often it's scanned.
What happens to my dynamic codes if Guaranteed QR shuts down?
We'll email you at least 90 days ahead. Codes on your own domain keep working once you upload the exit kit to a free host and point your domain at it. Codes on our shared domain keep forwarding for at least 5 years, but can no longer be changed.
How big should I print a QR code?
At least 0.8 in (2 cm) wide for something held in the hand. For posters, use one tenth of the scanning distance: about 7 in wide for 6 ft away.
Is my Wi-Fi password safe?
We never see it: the generator runs in your browser. But anyone who scans the printed code can read the password, so use a guest network in public places.
